Fiji Assured Income residence permit costs and the FJD 100,000 requirement

Fiji’s Ministry of Immigration lists a base application fee of FJD 650.05 for the principal applicant and FJD 185 for each dependant included in the application. The Ministry also describes an initial six-month permit followed by a further two and a half years once it receives qualifying evidence of a FJD 100,000 remittance and/or a property purchase meeting that value. Put these amounts on separate lines when planning your move.

What to budget at lodgement

Using the Ministry’s published figures, a sole principal applicant pays a base fee of FJD 650.05. A principal applicant with one eligible dependant would budget FJD 835.05 in listed fees, or FJD 1,020.05 with two eligible dependants. Payment provider charges are additional. Check the amount shown in Immi Hub when paying, and use the applicable fee schedule for any family member who needs a separate permit.

Budget separately for medical reports, police records, certification and translations. If paying from an overseas account, ask your bank or card provider about conversion and payment costs before comparing the figures in your home currency.

When to plan the FJD 100,000 arrangement

The Ministry describes the amount in its permit validity guidance. The first stage is six months. The remaining term is issued after the Ministry receives evidence of the qualifying remittance and/or property purchase. Before moving money or signing a property contract, confirm which account and documents the Ministry accepts, when it needs the evidence, and how it assesses a combination of remittance and purchase.

Budget for the move itself

List housing deposits, initial living expenses, local transport and healthcare arrangements separately. If purchasing property, ask for an itemised breakdown of transaction costs as well as the purchase price. For a family application, confirm who can be included and who needs a separate route before adding up the fees.
