Selected in the subclass 462 ballot but stuck in ImmiAccount?
Once you start the first Work and Holiday visa application linked to your subclass 462 ballot registration ID, Home Affairs says you cannot delete it and start a new one. If the form will not advance or an attachment fails, keep the existing application and identify where the problem occurs.
Find the registration and the application
Sign in to the account you used for the ballot. Check the selection notice and its deadline, then locate the application linked to your registration ID. A ballot registration and a visa application serve different purposes. Seeing a selection notice or having a form open does not mean that you have lodged the application.
Use the support path that matches the problem
- You cannot sign in. Use the official username, password or multi-factor authentication recovery links. Once you regain access, return to the original account and application.
- You can sign in but the form will not advance. Note the page, the action you took, the exact error and when it appeared. Check for maintenance or a known issue, then consult the Department’s common errors guidance.
- An attachment or payment fails. Use the official attachment or payment instructions and check the status of the existing application. Keep any transaction reference shown.
- Passport details no longer match. Check what you entered in the original registration. If your passport changed after selection, see the guide to providing old and new passport details.
Suppose the same page reloads every time you select Next. Keep the existing form, record the screen and message, and check the published troubleshooting steps. If you still cannot continue, use the official ImmiAccount Technical Support Form. The ballot guidance asks applicants using that route for a blocked application to include a scan of their passport photo page. Submit it through the official form and retain a record of your request.
Track the visa deadline separately
Check the expiry date in your selection notice and in ImmiAccount. Under the current ballot guidance, selected applicants have 28 calendar days after notification to lodge, with the cutoff based on Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST). Report a technical problem promptly and continue checking the application. A support request is separate from lodging the visa application.
If you ask Premiervisa Group to review the steps you took, have the selection notice, registration ID and a redacted copy of the error ready.
Policy checked on 6 November 2026. See Home Affairs subclass 462 ballot guidance, common ImmiAccount errors and the official Technical Support Form.
