UAE Golden Residence for Skilled Professionals: AED30,000 Salary, UAE Employment and Qualification Evidence
The skilled-professional Golden Residence route requires more than an AED30,000 monthly salary. Official guidance also addresses valid UAE employment and work permission, the appropriate first or second occupational level, at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent, recognised qualifications and any required professional licence. The Dubai service separately asks for six months of bank salary transfers.
Identify the actual professional category
The ICP guide separates skilled professionals from scientists and other specialists whose routes involve recommendations from specified authorities. A general high salary does not substitute for a scientific recommendation, and a recommendation intended for one category does not erase another category's employment conditions.
List the actual role, employer, work location and intended basis. The application should be built around those facts rather than a favourable combination of requirements taken from several different categories.
Check the UAE work relationship and occupational level
The official professional conditions call for a valid work permit in the UAE based on a valid employment contract. The higher occupational classification concerns the relevant first or second professional level under the approved classification.
A job title alone does not establish the classification. Nor does a high salary from a job performed abroad automatically become the required local-employment evidence. Keep the actual contract and permission available, and clarify any secondment, free-zone or entity arrangement with the responsible authority.
Reconcile the salary and bank evidence
The Dubai specialist service lists a monthly salary of at least AED30,000 and a statement showing bank salary transfers for the last six months. The contract or relevant salary certificate and banking records should explain the same real employment.
Separate base pay, fixed allowances, variable awards and amounts actually paid. The public pages' headline salary figure should not be used to promise that every allowance or future bonus will be counted. Where eligibility depends on a particular component, obtain the applicable clarification before claiming the threshold is satisfied.
Do not change a contract or statement to conceal a shortfall. A private summary can organise evidence, but it does not change the amount or nature of remuneration received.
Distinguish the degree, attestation and recognition
The professional requirement is at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent. The Dubai document list addresses qualification recognition for universities outside the UAE and attestation for qualifications from universities within the UAE.
Possessing an overseas degree does not mean every local recognition step is complete. Confirm the competent process and preserve the genuine institution, award, dates and name history. A translation has a different role from a qualification-recognition decision.
Check professional licensing and insurance
The Dubai conditions specify a valid licence for professions requiring one, with examples such as physician, pharmacist or teacher. Immigration eligibility does not replace the profession's own authorisation to practise.
The official guidance also addresses comprehensive valid health insurance for the applicant and family under the applicable rules. Review the actual people and policy periods rather than treating an employer's old confirmation as indefinite family cover.
Keep employment changes and family planning visible
The Dubai service states that continuing conditions remain relevant and identifies salary falling below the threshold or a cancelled contract as circumstances affecting retention. Do not tell an applicant that receiving a longer residence document makes future employment changes irrelevant.
Family documents and costs should be checked separately, and the actual issued permission determines the person's dates. Begin with a factual professional summary and supporting evidence, then identify gaps. Neither a polished resume nor an advertised processing time guarantees a favourable assessment, continued qualification or permanent status.
