Thailand Privilege After Approval: 90-Day Reporting, Stay Extensions and TM30 Records
Thailand Privilege membership does not remove ongoing immigration administration. The membership term, visa validity, permitted stay after entry, ninety-day reporting and passport expiry perform different functions. A five-year card should never be treated as permission to remain continuously for five years without further checks. Start with the documents and dates actually issued to the individual.
Check the arrival stamp immediately
The operator's guidance distinguishes Privilege Entry, described as one year per entry, from historical Special Entry arrangements with a different period. Check the actual visa and admission stamp rather than using another member's experience to calculate your date.
If the stamp appears incorrect, raise it promptly with immigration or the relevant airport assistance service. A membership receipt stored on a phone does not correct the official admission record. After every trip, update the calendar from the new documents.
Ninety-day reporting does not extend the stay
Reporting an address after the relevant continuous stay and applying to extend permission are different procedures. Completing one does not establish that the other is complete. Keep the reporting receipt and extension result separately, noting which date each document controls.
For example, permission may still have several months remaining while the reporting deadline approaches. Equally, a recent reporting receipt does not resolve an imminent permission expiry. Record the procedure actually completed instead of merely noting that someone visited immigration.
Membership assistance has conditions
The operator lists reporting assistance through quotas or point redemption for specified memberships, with service locations and scheduled passport submission arrangements. Availability is not identical in every city or for every membership. Consult the current month's service arrangements before handing over a passport.
The operator says members outside its service areas should use the relevant immigration office or an available online route under the applicable conditions. Retain the result and next due date. Giving documents to a representative is an administrative handover, not proof the government has completed the report.
Stay extension has a separate process
The current membership guidance lists applications at the immigration office responsible for the residence area, up to thirty days in advance, with a THB1,900 processing fee subject to change. It states that the member must attend for a photograph and fingerprints.
Its checklist includes the passport and relevant visa and entry pages, photographs, membership information, address evidence and TM7. Confirm the current local checklist rather than mechanically applying older paper departure-card wording to every traveller. A consultant can help prepare the file but cannot replace attendance where required.
Arrange the address notification with the accommodation provider
TM30 is a different residence-notification matter involving the householder, property possessor or hotel manager under the applicable rules. The operator states it does not submit this notification on the landlord's or member's behalf.
When renting, establish who handles the notification and how the record will be provided. Keep address evidence consistent with the real residence. Moving property should trigger a fresh check of the applicable obligations instead of reusing an old receipt without review.
Review changes before travel or passport renewal
Record passport expiry, membership term, visa validity, current stay and next reporting date separately. If a passport is being replaced, a procedure is pending or membership is approaching expiry, clarify the consequences before booking travel. Updating membership records does not necessarily update every immigration record automatically.
Each family member needs a separate calendar based on their own documents and travel. After receiving a result, check the name, passport number and actual dates, and retain the previous records. This practical routine keeps a long membership connected with valid permission throughout the stay, without confusing administrative assistance with guaranteed government decisions.
