France Talent Business Creation Eligibility: Qualifications, Genuine Project and EUR30,000 Financing

France's talent business-creation branch requires a qualifying professional background, a genuine and serious business project, at least EUR30,000 in project financing and sufficient living resources. The appropriate project opinion is also required. Meeting the financing figure alone does not establish eligibility, and the innovative-project or direct-investment branches should not be treated as interchangeable alternatives with identical conditions.

Define what the applicant will actually do

Describe the proposed French activity, the operating entity and the applicant's responsibilities. France-Visas identifies commercial, craft and industrial businesses, each subject to the applicable French rules. Registering a company is one factual step; it does not by itself explain the project or prove residence eligibility.

Someone with an overseas business should explain the relationship between that company and the proposed French operation. A change of country name in an old plan is unlikely to show the actual customers, delivery arrangements or responsibilities of the new activity.

Document qualifications or comparable experience

The official business-creation test permits a qualification at least equivalent to a master's degree or five years of professional experience at a comparable level. These are alternative background routes within the branch, not a requirement that every applicant hold both.

Identify the qualification, institution and relevant records, or explain the experience with dates, actual duties and supporting documents. A senior title or years since a company was incorporated do not automatically demonstrate the applicant's personal professional experience. A colleague's expertise cannot be presented as the founder's own background.

Show a genuine and serious project

The file should let an assessor understand the real activity and how it can be carried out. Describe customers, offering, the founder's role, resources and the present stage. Evidence should match whether something is completed, contracted, being tested or still an assumption.

A business plan helps organise these facts. It does not convert an unverified customer claim or a proposed partnership into an existing result. Keep forecasts separate from historical trading records and explain material differences between the presentation and underlying documents.

Check financing without treating it as a purchase price

Service Public lists project financing of at least EUR30,000. The supporting-document list refers to investment in the business project from own or borrowed resources. The evidence must be assessed against the actual requirement and planned activity; an unexplained balance or a service payment is not automatically the same thing.

Record ownership, amount, source, availability and purpose. Borrowed money carries obligations that should be shown accurately. The minimum does not establish that every type of business can operate on that sum, and it is not a government fee purchasing an immigration outcome.

Keep personal and family resources distinct

The official guidance separately requires resources sufficient for the applicant and family at no less than the applicable annual gross full-time minimum-wage basis. This differs from project financing and from the net-income basis of France's non-working visitor route.

A realistic household budget should account for housing, insurance, family needs and continuing commitments elsewhere. Do not present all company cash as freely available personal living money or allocate the same funds in full to several incompatible uses. Preserve original-currency evidence and the required conversion explanation.

Obtain the project opinion and check regulated activities

The business-creation document list includes the economy ministry's opinion on the genuine and serious character of the project, together with the relevant identity, background, financing, resources and registration materials. The appropriate opinion is not replaced by a private consultant's positive assessment.

Regulated activities also require their own professional conditions. Immigration permission does not complete every licence, registration or qualification recognition. Identify those obligations before committing to an operational plan that the applicant cannot yet carry out.

The next useful step is an evidence matrix: each official condition, the applicant's actual facts, available support and unresolved items. A missing document and a condition that has not been met are different problems. Neither can be solved solely through editing, and a maximum card period is not a promise of approval or permanent status.
