Barbados Welcome Stamp: Complete the Immigration and Customs Form in the 72-Hour Window

A Barbados Welcome Stamp does not remove the separate pre-arrival form step. The Barbados Immigration Department says all travellers must complete the online Immigration and Customs Form, which becomes available 72 hours before arrival. After submitting it, save the Immigration and Customs receipts to a phone or print them, and present them to the relevant officers on arrival.

Use the 72-hour window

Set a reminder using the scheduled arrival time and open the official form once that window begins. The published visitor instructions do not say an earlier submission replaces the form. Avoid old copies and third-party form sites. If a flight is changed, delayed or rerouted, return to the official page and follow the current instructions for the revised trip.

Keep the receipts accessible

After submission, check that the receipts open and that the traveller and trip details match the actual journey. Keep a copy on the phone and, if useful, a printed backup. Tell accompanying family members where the records are kept. The Immigration Department asks travellers to present the receipts on arrival, so a confirmation that cannot be found is of little practical help.

Travelling with family

Barbados Immigration sets specific consent requirements for travellers under 18 who are unaccompanied or travelling with an adult other than a parent or legal guardian. The consent letter must be notarized and carry the notary’s seal. For an unaccompanied child, the Department also asks for official proof of guardianship and details of the authorised adult receiving the child; the letter must state the stay period. Follow the Department’s instructions and carry the original and a copy. These requirements should not be applied automatically to a child travelling with a parent or legal guardian.

The form is not a visa or an entry decision

The Welcome Stamp application, the Immigration and Customs Form, any entry visa required for the traveller’s passport, and the decision made at the port of entry are separate matters. Submitting the online form does not show that a Welcome Stamp has been approved and does not replace an applicable visa or passport requirement. Barbados states that an entry visa does not guarantee admission; the immigration officer at the port decides whether to admit a traveller. Check the Department’s current visa instructions before departure if your nationality requires an entry visa.

A short pre-departure check

Before travelling, confirm that the form was submitted within the 72-hour window, the receipts are saved, passport and itinerary details are correct, and accompanying travellers have the documents their circumstances require. Recheck the official guidance after a flight or passport change. PremierVisa Group can help organise a Welcome Stamp checklist; travellers must complete government forms with accurate information.
